April 20 Tokyo Yoshida, Acosta, Marriott, Howells April 21 Tokyo McDermott, Urlezaga, Tuckett, Abegglen April 22 Tokyo Hatley, Sansom, Heydon, Abegglen It is very very heartwarming lovely comic ballet. Music is delightful and colours on the stages are so cheerful. Especially of all, everything, not only human being, dances on stage. Miyako Yoshida was a perfect Lise. She danced difficult technique effortlessly ; throwing ribbons and lovely acting especially in the second act. Acosta was good humoured Colas . His dance was just like sunshine between clouds. Jonathan Howells was spoiled Allan . Christina McDermott was very cheerful Lise and I loved her quick steps with bounces and her acting when she pretended good girl before strict mother. It was an enjoyable to see a slight hot battle between William Tuckett's strict mother and McDermott's very naughty Lise. Her true love, Colas was Inaki Urlezaga. His dance was good and he was good boy, if only he had a sense of humour ! Peter Abegglen's Alan was one of the best Alan I have ever seen. His exclusive love for his red umbrella was extraordinary and very active Alan moved and danced all the time, then it made the last scene of the ballet was very touching.
Belinda Hatley and Bruce Sansom were just sweet lovers. It seemed to me like reading a nursery rhyme book outside in a summer day. Their acting were very attractive and they acted even in dance steps. Abegglen again put his special power into Alan and Luke Heydon's supercharged Madame Simone showed us incredible powerful clog dance . She(He) kissed on Colas's mouth when she allowed him to marry to Lise. We laughed a lot and it was hard to say goodbye to a cockerel and four hens at the last night.
